Ok, so every girl loves a dress right? Well not all but I think we can safely say the majority of us do. So what makes the “Dress” a popular choice amongst many women? Maybe it has something to do with the vast majority and array of styles there are available, maybe it’s because they are incredibly easy to wear and effortlessly classy or maybe we love that they are extremely versatile. The range of Teatro Dresses presented today is purely immense and therefore one thing’s for sure there is a perfect dress for you!
Not only is there a perfect dress for each and every one of us but also a perfect dress for each and every occasion. Now, get the dress and the occasion right and were onto a winner right? Wrong! That’s where the difficulty comes in and not because of choice, more like too much choice.
Let’s say you’re looking for a dress for a specific occasion! Now Occasion could mean absolutely anything so remember to focus on what it actually is before you go any further. Not all dresses are suitable for all events since you wouldn’t want to turn up to a wedding in your best clubbing dress would you? But once you have discovered the event then do some research because some dresses are very versatile and can be used at various events or it may be that a dress can be styled in a completely different way allowing it be adaptable for other occasions.
Teatro dresses are everywhere and the styles and designs vary making them suitable for almost all occasions and especially for each individual shape. Women love these dresses because they are incredibly easy to wear and will never fail to let you down. They are the ultimate wardrobe must-have item and even if you do not wear them that often they will always be the dress that you can rely on the most, especially when that dreaded invite pops up out the blue when you least expect it, leaving us saying “arrgh! What do I wear?”
The different styles of teatro dresses range from day wear to ultimate glamorous evening wear. Choosing a design will depend on the occasion and what is to be considered appropriate. It’s a good idea to have a budget in mind and to stick to it as with dresses they can be as pricey or as affordable as you desire, there is no limit.
Examples of styles include;
Celebrity favourite’s bodycon and bandage style dresses which will pull in any figure into shape beautifully providing they are worn with the correct underwear. Bodycon dresses are not the most comfortable dress you will ever wear in the world but that are statement masterpieces that will sure make a few heads turn.
Wrap and shift dresses are the complete opposite to bodycon dresses, here you have style with comfort and they are classically beautiful. Other comfortable dresses are the Maxi dress which seems to be growing in popularity of late and is not set to change yet. Grecian style maxi dresses are perfect for glam evening wear but are also great for casual day wear too and other designs offer a more casual approach.
Remember to make the most of you femininity and show off what God gave you and a good way of doing this by opting for sophisticated and elegantly enduring high-waist two in one pencil dress. Pencil dresses are perfect for offices but also a great modern smart look for wedding guests.
Teatro dresses are also great for Prom dresses and bridesmaid dresses, they can be of any length knee-length or very slightly above or longer but I wouldn’t advise Mini dresses for formal occasions. For those who do like to go for the shorter options then you should consider baby doll and bandeau dresses and for curvier girls these particular designs are your best friend. Plus sizes should opt for a teatro dress that cinches in at the waist to highlight fabulous curves and avoid anything that can leave you looking like you wearing a tent! Make the most of your curves girls, do not try and hide them!
For tummy conscious days, and we all have them! A puffball teatro dress could be your savior, it hides lumps and bumps yet still maintains a glam appeal, and the plus side is we do not have to breathe in all evening!
For occasional wear these dresses easily fits the bill, explore your options of lace, corsage, one shouldered, tunic and chiffon for something really fancy or try out the tailored designed to fit ranges at department stores for something that fits like a glove leaving you looking amazingly sophisticated.
In a world of current recession blowing the budget is simply not an option for most so opting for a dress that can be worn again is a wise choice. Many can worn differently thus making them very versatile with use of adding accessories. A teatro dress can be dressed up to the max with fabulous shoes and jewellery or simply styled down with summer flats and loosely pinned up hair to create a whole new look. Be wise and adventurous when buying and you may even surprise yourself.
These dresses are suitable for formal, semi-formal and even casual evenings but you may find that the more formal the event the more expensive the ranges are. For the best deals around searching online is by far your greatest option. As much as us girls do like to try our dresses on before we buy you may find that by purchasing online you can save yourself a fortune. My advice would be to go out and try on teatro dresses first to get an idea of which types of dress best suits your body shape and then to search online afterwards to get a dress for a fraction of the price.
Enough on dresses i hear you say! I know what i want, i know where to look, now how do i know which dress looks good on me?
Before we begin let us consider the main body shapes and then it’s up to you to decide which one you are. Consider that not every women fits into every category exactly but chose the one you feel closest to and it may help you get some sort of an idea.
Hourglass shapes- Torso and hips are approximately the same width with a definite waist definition. Basically you’re a figure 8!
Rectangle shapes- Torso and upper body are the same width as hips, with little waist definition. Basically you’re straight up, straight down!
Pear shapes- Torso and upper body are smaller than hips with some waist definition. Bottom heavy!
Apple shapes- Torso and upper body are wider than hips with little or no waist definition. Rounded midsection!
Inverted triangle shapes- Torso and upper body are wider than hips with little waist definition. Top heavy!
Ok, let’s break it down shall we;
For Clubbing dresses. Party dresses and going out dresses! Hourglass figures look great in almost anything as you have the ideal women physique and every other shape is trying to create you, you lucky thing! Just think Marilyn Monroe! Bodycon dresses; you can do tight but not too tight more like figure hugging, so go for it!
For rectangle shapes and most tall women fit into this category, you can fake a waist by trying peplum styles but also remember you have smaller hips and so shift dresses will look great on you as they will not cling to your bottom half also rectangle shapes look great in layered outfits so try and layer up an evening dress with a nice jacket and bold accessories to make a statement and draw attention elsewhere.
Pear shapes are very lucky in that when you put on weight it goes to your bottom half first and the eye catches top the half of people but what you need to do is find the right balance so you could opt for extra detailing and bulk around the shoulders but having said that why not show off your slim top half with strapless dresses, a strapless maxi formal dress would be your ideal occasion dress. If you are a pear shaped that is self conscious of their bottom half then opt for dark block colors to minimize the appearance down below and something bright and bold above.
It’s a vice versa for inverted triangle shapes though as you are smaller down the bottom half and need something like a full skirt to help balance out your dimensions. For prom and bridesmaid dresses full on puffy skirts look better on you. For evening of formal try a fish tail which creates the illusion of fullness at the bottom the balance out your broader to half.
Apple shapes need to try and create the illusions of a waist which can be quite tricky, many apple shapes assume that loose fitting dresses are better on them but I’d recommend anything but, since loose fitting dresses will only make you look bigger than you really are. Here are the best options of you; Wrap dresses are you best friend! They usually have tie detailing on the side which takes the attention away from your tummy area and more to the side area of the body. Wrap dresses are especially great because of ‘A’ shape of the skirt. It creates volume just above the knee and skins over the tummy, the width of the bottom of the skirt will make you waistline appear smaller and showcase you fabulous pins. For Evening dresses or party dresses go for something that has wider hem lines, bold prints and if you’re brave enough try a ruffle across the bust or over the shoulders because anything that draws the eye away from the tummy with apples is usually the way to go!
Nowadays many designers know what women want and they do design dresses suitable for all shapes and sizes but once you have discovered what looks great on you, i would stick with it! This doesn’t have to be boring, far from it! You are looking to continue to buy the same shaped cut of fabric not the same design it has on it. A particular cut may be the most flattering on you but the length could vary, the detailing could be totally different, the color, the print, the pattern could change every time depending on the occasion it needs to be worn. To try and make a totally different cut suitable for you is a very difficult task to do, unless you’re a professional dress designer and it could end up being a total disaster. So stick with what you know and experiment with different designs of dresses instead.
